ELCA Youth Accept 100 Wells Challenge - The water crisis in Africa doesn’t often make headlines, but the truth is that it claims more lives per year than war or natural disasters. Every day, women and children walk an average of 3 miles to collect water and sadly the water they find is not safe to drink. The 100 wells challenge is a unique way to make a difference. ELCA youth are joining together with a $250,000 fundraising goal to support the water projects of ELCA World Hunger where they are needed most. All proceeds from the May 13th Youth Ministry Breakfast will go to support this project. Please try to attend!

The Triennial ELCA Youth Gathering is Coming!!! In the summer of 2012 we will be sending a youth delegation to the Gathering in New Orleans. This is a chance for the youth of the church to come together with thousands of other youth in worship and praise. In addition, they will have the chance to serve and minister to a community still struggling with the aftermath of hurricane Katrinia. Any student who will be in 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade, in 2012, or will have graduated in 2012 from high school are eligible to attend. If you are interested, please contact Christine Godenschwager by calling the office at 345-6115.
